Medly has designated safeguarding leads with enhanced DBS checks, and follows DfE guidance on generative AI, the Online Safety Act and the ICO's Age Appropriate Design Code. A safety layer monitors conversations for signs a student may be struggling; if it detects a concern, the AI pauses tutoring, signposts Childline and other support, and encourages the student to talk to a trusted adult.
